These grinders are designed to retain a high percentage of cell nuclei and mitochondria in soft tissues, such as egg, embryo, animal organ, or plant. In operation, the loose fitting pestle ball is encircled in liquid, which avoids heat build-up. Mortar has large reservoir and pouring lip. Each mortar is supplied with a “loose†pestle and a “tight†pestle.
