Nitrate testing kits provide accurate and reliable results without the use of cadmium, a toxic heavy metal and known carcinogen. All kits use the naturally occurring enzyme called nitrate reductase which safely measures nitrate in any aqueous sample.
The laboratory nitrate analysis method has been validated and approved by ASTM International, USGS, and as an Alternate Test Procedure under the Safe Drinking Water Act with the US EPA.
