Electric heating mantles incorporate a heating element suspended within a ceramic fiber insulating material for safe heat transfer. Mantles have built-in power controller with a 1-10 scale. Maximum temperature is 842°>F (450°>C). Two neon lights indicate “power on- and “heat on.-
The 50-through 1000-mL mantles are fitted with one 1/2" dia support rod clamp; the 2000-through 5000-mL mantles are fitted with three 1/2" dia rod clamps. Includes a 6½--ft (2-m) power cord; 115 VAC models include U.S plug (230 VAC models do not include plug)
