The extraction heater is designed for Kjeldahl digestion on a micro scale and accommodates up to six round-bottom flasks between 18 to 50 mL in size. Each heating mantle has its own independent heat controller, on/off switch, and amber neon indicator light, and can operate up to a maximum element temperature of 800°C.
The control equipment located in the lower part of the unit is safely separated from the upper heating elements by a stainless steel tray and well-ventilated air space. The unit is double fused on the supply line and neutral for added safety. Back-mounted brackets hold flask support rods up to 12.7 mm in diameter.
